WE TELL THE STORY OF LOCAL.

The Albany-Saratoga region’s agricultural roots are blooming anew with a burgeoning food scene that can’t be ignored. We are a mix of urban and rural, and are experiencing a groundswell of attention for our growing local food community, making us one of North America’s emerging food destinations for farm-to-fork dining.

Our mission is to be the community resource that connects the dots of the bounty of seasonal, locally grown foods, a place to get to know our local farmers and artisans, and learning more about what our region has to offer in the way of great dining, delicious day trips, vintners, distillers, brewers, food events and festivals. We want to tell the stories behind food and drink that so many of us take for granted.

Edible Capital District is published four times a year and is part of Edible Communities, an award-winning network of more than 83 regional print food publications across the US and Canada, supported by editorially and visually rich digital, mobile, and television content. Edible Communities is the largest publisher of local food magazines in North America. Edible Capital District’s focus includes Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Montgomery and Fulton counties.

Join us in celebrating the abundance of local foods, farms and community season by season.
