Looking for something to celebrate before the holiday season officially kicks into gear? Look to the bustling New York cider scene, where there is always something worth celebrating—from New York apples to all the cideries transforming them into liquid gold—and then join the party at the NY Cider Festival NYC this Saturday, November 16, at Hudson Yards.

This one-day celebration is the perfect entrypoint for newcomers to the cider scene, as well as a gregarious gathering place for cider enthusiasts (like us), as it invites attendees to discover the remarkable flavors and craftsmanship of New York ciders as they sip, savor, and shop their way around the festival. The festival will also feature exclusive add-on experiences, such as Cider and Cheese pairing sessions guided by Rachel Freier of The Cheese Club. Cider makers from Angry Orchard and South Hill Cider will also participate in these sessions, providing guests with an expertly curated journey that will showcase the best possible expressions of regional cider and artisanal cheeses.

Tickets to the NY Cider Festival NYC are available online here. Limited VIP early access is available from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00. p.m. General admission is from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The add-on Angry Orchard Cider & Cheese Pairing Session is at 12:30 p.m., whereas the South Hill Cider & Cider Pairing Session is at 2:00 p.m, ensuring the cider-centric celebrations truly span the whole day.

“As cider continues to flourish across the country, we believe it’s important as ever to support the industry at all levels. We're thrilled to sponsor and participate in the NY Cider Festival NYC, showcasing a variety of incredible NY Ciders in one of the greatest food and drink capitals in the world. Just two hours south of our own orchard in the Hudson Valley, there’s no better place to share and celebrate cider with friends as the harvest season nears its end,” says Joe Gaynor, Head Cider Maker at Angry Orchard.

There is so much to celebrate about NY cider. From the Hudson Valley to the Finger Lakes and beyond, New York State is home to a bounty of cideries producing ciders that are as varied—from crisp and dry to complex and fruit-forward—as they are universally dedicated to telling the story of New York’s agricultural heritage and the cider makers dedicated to their craft.

The NY Cider Festival NYC will feature 1911Established, Angry Orchard, Blake's Hard Cider, Brooklyn Cider House, Donovan Estate Ciders, Graft Cider, Grisamore Cider Works, Hudson North Cider, Hudson Valley Farmhouse Cider, Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery, Little Apple Cidery, Merchant's Daughter Cider, Nine Pin Ciderworks, Orchard Hill Cider Mill, Original Sin Cider, Pennings Farm Cidery, Quartz Rock Cider House, Rockland Cider Works, Shrewd Fox Cider, South Hill Cider, Treasury Cider at Fishkill Farms, and Tree Hugger Cider (cideries subject to change).
