Sheet Pan Chicken
If Chrissy Teigen likes them, they must be good, right? Here at Edible Capital District, we didn’t need the multi-hyphenate Empress of Twitter to endorse the Sheet Pan Dinner for us to love it, but it certainly helps us plead our case (and feel slightly less lame in the process).
Teigen endorsed the one-dish wonder on Twitter, shortly after welcoming her second child with John Legend. She observed that she was “fascinated by ‘sheet pan meals’ right now—sides and main cooked on the same temp at the same time on the same pan.”
Couldn’t have said it better ourselves. In addition to being one of the easiest ways to get a square meal on the table since the Age of the Casserole came to a cheese-covered carb-loaded conclusion, it embodies many of the elements we at Edible hold near and dear. The Sheet Pan Dinner fares best when made using local, seasonal ingredients and when shared with a crowd of rowdy hungries.
We turned to two local bloggers, Jodie Fitz, author of The Chaotic Kitchen, and Pattie Garrett of My Saratoga Kitchen Table, for their takes on this new-fangled kitchen classic.
