Heathy on Lark's Green Zinger

This kale smoothie fights inflammation and will settle upset stomachs.

“I created this recipe while seeking to make a powerful green juice that aids fatigue and promotes improved energy and clarity of thought,” Sharon explains. “Cucumber boosts electrolytes; ginger calms the stomach and boosts immunity; kale is high in vitamins A, C and B6 and helps lower blood pressure; fennel contains nutrients that are anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic, which can help with stomach and leg cramps. This juice also calms an upset stomach and rehydrates after a bit too much partying.” 

Makes 2 hearty servings

4 stalks organic kale (leaves and stems)

1–1½ organic cucumbers (depending on size)

½ bulb organic fennel chopped to fit juicer

2-inch piece ginger

Before you begin, wash all produce very carefully. Peeling is not necessary. Process all ingredients through juicer and go!
