About this recipe

The Amante Picante, which translates to Hot Lover, is a delightful way to ready the taste buds and warm the body for the coming spring ahead. Bar manager Drew Janek creates all of his recipes with changing seasons in mind, incorporating as many local ingredients as possible and catering, personally, to the band of regulars and locals who treat Henry Street as an extension of their living room.

Instructions

1⁄4 of a cucumber, peeled
4 slices jalapeño pepper
A few cilantro sprigs
1⁄2 fresh lime, squeezed
3 ounces tequila
1 teaspoon agave nectar

Muddle peeled cucumber, jalapeño slices and a few cilantro leaves with the fresh squeezed lime juice. Add ice, tequila and agave nectar. Shake vigorously, pour into chilled martini glass and garnish with lime peel.
